The Draw Specialists Strike Again!!!

The Under 10s continued their drawing streak on Saturday 14th November, drawing 2-2 against St James Panthers on a windswept Thorpe House Playing Fields for the second time this season.

The match was though very different from the previous affair as we were lucky to escape with a draw on this occasion having left our passing boots at home.

The team struggled to get going and lacked the fluid passing movements of previous weeks and as a result were having to defend wave after wave of attack from the Panthers as we consistently gave the ball away. As a result the Panthers took the lead when we stood off and allowed one of their players to calmly slot the ball home in the bottom corner.

Despite the prssure we managed to equalise as Adam Forster chased a poor pass well and managed to slide the ball under the goalkeeper.

In the second half the pressure started to tell and we ended up going behind before Adam Forster scored again, an excellent strike into the top corner after a well placed throw from Guy, to rescue a point.

The very positive spin on this is that we managed to get away with a draw after a poor performance which is a sign of a strong resilient side, and we remain unbeaten this season, but hopefully the passing moves will return in time for next weeks cup match.

Squad: Louis Baffoe, Toby Dover, Ethan Hall, Guy Baverstock, Joshua Bailey, Adam Forster, Bill Hodgson
