Match 1
Despite the poor weather and some huge puddles in the park, the pitches were in fine condition (but only after clearing the usual several little presents left by the canine community). The first match was evenly matched. Rhys was his normal enthusiastic self in goal for the first half before helping out on the pitch with some good runs and tackles. It was particularly good to see Christian make his league debut after many Sundays gracing the rugby pitches at Amersham and Chiltern and he certainly didn’t disappoint with a typically strong performance.
Match 2
Against the slightly weaker of the 2 Marlow teams, we again played very well and had the better of the play.
We scored 3 goals in the 2 games. Robert scored after excellent work to set him up by Rishi. Christian was rewarded for his efforts with a fine goal after yet another excellent run and Luke curled a fine shot into the top corner, helped by a little deflection of a defender.
Squad: Luke, Alex Walker, Alex Jennings, Rhys, Christian, Rishi, Robert, Ryan
Ian and Nick
Bottom Pitch
Match 1
All the boys played extremely well and really enjoyed both matches. The first match got off to a good start with everyone keeping their positions and getting some excellent passing going. Charles and Aaron
had so much energy they had no trouble taking the ball the length of the field and with that Sam was able to score two good goals. Matthew was really strong and could keep the ball at his feet while going
through the oposition. Jacob took some really long throw ins which put us in some great goal scoring opportunities.
Match 2
Charlie and Alfie came on for the second game and contributed straight away. Joe was fantastic in defence and was fearless with his tackling against the tallest strikers. Alex made some great passes to
get the team upfield and It was great to hear all the boys shouting for the ball and enjoying the game. Their enthusiasm over both games was great to watch, well done.
Squad: Aaron, Sam, Charlie, Alfie, Joe, Matthew, Charles, Alex Willox, Jacob
Martin and Wayne.
