Holy Trinity Juniors Tornadoes 0 – 3 Westwood Park Utd (Tom, Fergus 2)

Saturday, 19th September

On a beautiful morning Westwood dominated in their first match of the
season. Magnus, Arjan and Ollie C all had early chances before Tom hit a
superb dipping shot over the keeper from 20 yards.

The second half continued in the same vein with Westwood dominating, but
missing chance after chance. The only threat to Westwood’s own goal came
from misplaced back passes. Fergus, moving from defence to attack added
2 further goals. The team’s passing improved as confidence grew and
Magnus hit the bar as further chances came and went.

The game was played in a good spirit and and was a solid first
performance as the team settled down with a new defence led by captain
Ben. The clean sheet was a bonus on an afternoon when Goalkeeper Ryan
was largely untroubled.
